Rental agreement

Also called rental contract, ra

A rental agreement is the contract signed at handover setting out who is hiring, which vehicle, for how long, and on what terms.

At minimum it names the hirer and their licence, the vehicle and its condition, the dates and times, the charges, the mileage terms and the insurance position. It is the document you rely on when something goes wrong, so it is worth more than the ten minutes it takes to get right.
